Hi there, I’m Mariana (she/her). I believe that part of leading a fulfilling life means giving ourselves the opportunity to heal from our past and find the power within to navigate life’s difficult and everchanging circumstances. My ultimate goal is to cultivate a safe, warm and client centered space. Together, we can process difficult moments and work towards setting and achieving personalized goals and dreams.
My approach to therapy is non-judgmental and client centered. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and clinician and feel passionate about empowering and celebrating my clients! I am trained in Trauma-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strength and Solution focused counseling ,and stress and anxiety reduction techniques. I may also incorporate somatic exercises and mindfulness into our sessions. Together, we can build your resilience and explore what approach works best for you.
A session with me typically lasts about an hour. I am a Hybrid provider and offer sessions in person or virtually. Each session will differ depending on your needs. We may take a more structured approach if needed.
During your intake session, we will discuss frequency and scheduling preferences, and you will provide a brief overview of what brings you into counseling. Feel free to snack, journal or bring any fidget that may make you more comfortable!
I strive to practice gratitude daily with my clients as a form of strength based counseling and mindfulness.
I encourage my clients to lean on their community and find shared understanding with others. None of us exist alone.
I strive to cultivate empathy and compassion in all my sessions.
Together, we will practice acceptance in a few ways. Firstly, accepting one another as we show up for a session, coming as we are and working together with a shared purpose. Additionally, I believe we must accept some outcomes and circumstances in order to overcome them.
I encourage forgiveness for self and others as part of overcoming your traumas.
