The 4th Trimester Connection

View Upcoming Series

The 4th trimester is a time unlike any other—a mix of sleepless nights, sweet firsts, and figuring out who you are now as a mom. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, every experience is a little different. You’re learning your baby, learning yourself, and navigating challenges you may not have seen coming. It can feel overwhelming and lonely at times, even with all the baby books, classes, and prep you did. And that’s why we created this group.

The 4th Trimester Connection was born from our own experiences of navigating those early weeks and months. We know what it’s like to crave mom friends who just get it, to need a space where the hard conversations are safe to have, and to find comfort in knowing you’re not alone. This group is here to normalize everything you’re feeling, to give you the guidance we wish we’d had, and to create a supportive community for you and your baby during this precious but challenging stage.

An 8-week series to connect, share, and navigate the 4th trimester together.

Here, you’ll find a welcoming space to laugh, cry, and share what’s on your heart. Each week, we’ll gather with other moms who are right there with you—sharing stories, offering encouragement, and talking about the things you never thought you’d need to know. With expert-led discussions and a space for real connection, you’ll leave each session feeling a little more confident, a little more supported, and a whole lot less alone.

Each series runs for 8 weeks and begins monthly, giving you the chance to connect with the same group of moms throughout the program. This group is designed for women with babies ages 0-12 weeks at the start of the series. To make the most of the experience, we recommend signing up for the session following your due date.

  • Handouts and email recaps for each session (because let’s be real, life with a newborn gets busy!).
  • Access to guest speakers from our extensive perinatal network, including pediatricians, lactation consultants, pelvic floor physical therapists, and more.

Have a topic or speaker in mind? Let us know—we want to make sure each series is tailored to the needs and interests of the group!

Space is limited to ensure an intimate and supportive environment. To secure your spot, register below. It’s recommended to sign up for the session that follows your due date.

Each series will be led by me, Krysta Schroeder, LCSW, PMH-C. As a licensed clinical social worker and perinatal mental health-certified therapist, I specialize in supporting moms during this transformative time. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked extensively with moms, helping them navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood.

I’m also a boy mom to two back-to-back pandemic babies, born 20 months apart (April 2020 and December 2021). My own postpartum experience was filled with many moments of anxiety, self-doubt, and late-night Google searches—tracking everything my baby did and trying so hard to do everything the "right way" that I lost sight of my own instincts and confidence. That anxiety stayed with me for a long time (if I’m being honest, it still shows up at times), and it taught me just how important it is to have a safe space and supportive community.

This group is deeply personal to me. I created it because I wish I had something like this when I was in the thick of postpartum life. A place to ask questions, make mom friends, and feel truly understood. I can’t wait to meet you and walk alongside you during this incredible journey.

Hi, I'm Krysta!

Who is this group for?

This group is designed for moms with babies aged 0-12 weeks at the start of the series. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, the group is tailored to support you through the 4th trimester.

What if my baby cries or needs attention during the session?

Babies are always welcome! This is a judgment-free space where you can feed, change, or comfort your baby as needed.

Do I need to commit to all 8 weeks?

While we recommend attending all 8 weeks to get the most out of the group, we understand that life happens. If you miss a session, you’ll receive an email recap and handouts to stay connected.

What should I bring to the sessions?

Just yourself and your baby! You’re welcome to bring anything that makes you comfortable, like a blanket, nursing cover, snacks, or water.

Can I join if my baby is a bit older than 12 weeks?

This group is specifically tailored for moms with babies 0-12 weeks, but we’re happy to direct you to resources or other groups that may better fit your baby’s age.

How many moms will be in each group?

We keep the group small to create a safe and intimate environment. Each group will have a maximum of 10 moms.

What happens after the 8 weeks?

After the series ends, you’ll leave with a new support system and resources to help you continue thriving. Many moms choose to stay in touch with the group and continue supporting each other informally.

What if I feel nervous about joining?

That’s completely normal! Many moms feel a mix of emotions when starting something new. This group is designed to be a safe, supportive space where you can ease into the experience at your own pace. If you’d like to chat with me directly before joining, you’re welcome to schedule a quick chat with me where we can talk through all the things at this link.
