Hello, I’m Kristina (she/her), a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern at Harlowe Counseling. As someone who experiences and understands the world deeply, I bring a thoughtful and attuned perspective to my work. I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent adolescents, adults, and couples in recognizing and embracing their sensitivity as a meaningful source of insight, resilience, and strength.
My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and encourages a mind/body/spiritual connection.
I utilize a personalized combination of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to build distress tolerance and regulate your emotions; Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), to increase your awareness of old patterns and free you from relationship cycles that keep you stuck; and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), for working through trauma-related issues such as safety, trust, power/control, esteem, and intimacy.
Whether it's through laughter or deep reflective conversations, I aim to bring a sense of calm and control back into your life.
Sessions with me are judgement-free. At our first session, you can expect a full assessment of your presenting concerns and history, with an emphasis on crafting meaningful goals for future sessions. As we explore further, we will collaborate and tailor our sessions to meet your needs.
Whether you’d like validation, accountability, or a soft landing to explore difficult emotions, know that this is your space to gain understanding of self, feel seen and heard, and learn new skills to reduce distress.
Deeply understanding and attuning to a client’s lived experience.
Showing up as genuine, transparent, and human in the therapeutic relationship.
Supporting clients’ rights, dignity, and access to needed resources.
Using lightness thoughtfully to foster connection and perspective.
Responding to pain with warmth, care, and a desire to alleviate suffering.
Honoring the healing power of the natural world and our connection to it.
